I have objected on-line to B&NES to the erection of a teleconmmunications base station and mast in The Avenue. I appreciate that we need to provide equipment for modern telecommunications, but we do see some very inappropriate sitings. I am also concerned that there have been several instances of unelected officers giving permission for some developments that are against the wishes of the local residents (eg. the case of government(?)Inspectors commenting on Green Belt land). I would hope that in this particular case, democracy will prevail and that the (unelected) planning officer will 'go with' the wishes of Combe Down residents.

Can we ensure this goes to planning committee, rather than risk an officer granting it under delegated powers?

hopefully it will be refused under delegated powers. If not it will be brought to committee.
